Which warlock spec is best for pve 5.3

The best way to get over this problem is to spam your buttons like a crazy horse. A VERY crazy horse. No caps. Gemming For your meta gem, you will allways want Chaotic Skyflare Diamond.

For yellow sockets - Reckless Ametrine. And finally for blue sockets - Purified Dreadstone. On a side note, you CAN put red gems into blue sockets, but doing so will not give you the socket bonus of the said item. If you want to ignore a socket bonus, the best choice for gem is the spell power one.

In my opinion you should never gem for socket bonuses less than 6 spell power. Enchanting Head: Arcanum of Burning Mysteries Shoulder: Greater inscription of the Storm , or Master's inscription of the Storm , if you have the inscription profession. Spell priority The basic destro priority formerly known as rotation is: 1. Always keep Immolate up on the target 2. Use Chaos Bolt on every cooldown 3. Use Conflagrate on every cooldown 4.

Use Incinerate, when immolate is up on the targte, and both Chaos Bolt and Conflagrate are on cooldown. If, however one of those are present and can give the debuff, then Curse of Doom , is your highest DPS increase. When the boss or an add is near death and CoD won't be able to damage him before he dies, Curse of Agony will be most efficient.

His Blood Pact ability must be present at all times. Fel Armor should also be present on you at all times. If u feel you need some extra haste, enchant your weapon with a Spellstone. Otherwise use a Firestone. Flask of the frost wyrm is your flask of choice.

Potion of Speed and Potion of Wild Magic are the best. That's all I can think of for now Edit: Fixed talent link. Edit: Added tooltips. Thanks to mEOnGG. Comment by runedragon In very much the same standard as a Mage, the Warlock class takes the philosophy, "Kill it with fire" to a new level. While the methodology of killing things with fire is beneficial, many Warlocks would most likely have a preference to the philosophy, "Kill everything that moves with demons and eat their souls".

This preference to the Warlock's standard, is easily the most apparent, as the number of Warlocks running around at level 15 with a Felguard. Comment by Thrall went away to upgrade from shammy to warlock.

Comment by at what lvl do locks become good? Comment by XxroguexX i hate this name eye of killrogg its like eye of kill rogue when u read it. My average dps seems to be about 6k to 7k and I get complained at for it in maybe about 2 or 3 out of 5 PUG's I take part in. Any advice? Comment by i lvled a gnome warlock to lvl 36 and enjoyed it but as i like abillites that are fun i got drawn to the shaman which is better[.

Comment by Misy Zhar'doom, Greatstaff of the Devourer - now that Transmogrification is so close it's a good time for warlocks to farm this staff, what else could fit better your class than a felhunter staff itself? Comment by My lock is a Demonology and is currently a Blood Elf. I am considering a race change. The CD is also the same as the trinket. I am leaning towards Orc, anyone think any different? Comment by TheLustful Warlock is by far the most fun class for me.

I've tried every class though not every spec and while I love my warrior, demonology warlock is not only easy-mode by comparison but summoning up demons, transforming, and just burning everything to the ground is awesome. Though I will admit an affliction warlock's Jinx talent is very nice. Comment by Can I say, the best damn class in the game. Comment by Michola As of 4. Comment by DestroyX Too much f in the affliction. Comment by Moonmasta they make delicious cookies. Comment by We own Mages.

End of story. Comment by amaterazu Warlocks can be somewhat annoying to healers with their health-sacrificing abilities especially Life Tap , so only use it when you need it, and make sure you level your First Aid! Comment by kirby40 the new lock power is amazing. Comment by Exylem Warlocks are a lot better and a lot more fun after 5. Comment by I like this class very much its my favorite.

Comment by Affliction excels at Multi-Doting and extended single-target executes. It has rather weak AoE. Affliction has a balanced toolkit of spells. It has decent Multi-Doting with Doom and Corruption. It has a rather tedious execute soul fire cast takes too long to kill very short lived targets , and suffers from a very long ramp up. Demonology does well if it can land killing blows while in metamorphosis.

Destruction Excels at nukes, cleaves, ad-killing executes, and Burst. It has decent AoE and does well if it can land killing blows with Shadowburn. Destruction cannot multi-dot, and has a rather long ramp up. Destruction has a very small toolkit of spells. Comment by It's amazing how far Warlocks have evolved as a class in World of Warcraft since day one. I'm loving the new spells, effects, damage, and the power of the utility in MoP.

Here's hoping this doesn't go away for a good while. Blizzard did a really great job with the class this expansion and I plan on spending a lot more time playing this class.

Comment by Nitweed Is affliction still the most effective pvp spec or has that changed since MoP? Comment by Iesdi If you are thinking of making a low level twink for fun, a level 74 DestroLock is the answer.

You are going to ask why I guess? Let's get into the details: -Why DestroLock? In addition, the damage is increased by your critical strike chance. Also if you want to go for a rogue for example, like most people do, have fun grinding BT for Warglaives Just sayin', gearing a 74 lock twink is easy, and the amount of delivered fun is beyond your imagination.

First of all, the first PvP items with sockets are on level 70, obviously I'm talking about Brutal Gladiator's Felshroud. You want to be 74 instead of just 70, because 74 is the top level for this bracket, and a 74 warlocks is obviously stronger than 70 one. And you want to be 74 instead of 84 for example, because the cataclysm crit sockets require item level, and the wrath ones don't.

So your Chaos Bolt will have bigger advantage on level 74 instead of any other twink level. Let's take a look at the stats. They are all for level 74 warlock and the socket bonuses are in case we stack only critical yellow and nothing else at all.

The PvP set has 55 more stamina, Chaos Bolt does NOT consume an ember if it misses. However it does if it gets resisted.

That hurts their ego a lot. Comment by hyperlaura i really love how to place dots Comment by perculia 5. Many class abilities were given only to one specialization, like Soul Fire. Affliction Changes : New ability. Soul Shards have been greatly changed--they're intended to be used and generated frequently in combat, as opposed to limited usage in Cataclysm. Haunt no longer heals the caster and requires a Soul Shard. This is your primary way of generating Soul Shards.

Demonology Changes is a new resource for Demonology warlocks. Normal offensive abilities generate it, and abilities in consume it. You will leave demon form if your is below Some abilities generate them, while other abilities consume them, once you have 10 parts of an ember generated.

Abilities that consume : Chaos Bolt : Always critically strikes, and crit chance increases damage.

Shadowburn : No longer is tied to Soul Shards. Mortal Coil will be the default choice as it also grants a bit ofhealing. If you need AoE crowd control, then you will go for Demonic Breath or Shadowfury depending on what yourraid will require. Tier 3 talents offer damage reduction mechanics.

You have the choice betweenthe following talents. Note that when using a demon, the choice between Soul Link and Sacrificial Pactcan be affected by damage pattern. In this case,Sacrificial Pact is a must have. On fights like Thok , where the damage isperiodic, Soul Link is definitely the best option. Dark Bargain is also a strong talent. On a 3-minutecooldown, it enables you to bypass encounter mechanics or tosignificantly reduce the damage you take during periods of high raid damage.

That said, it is mostly interesting on encounters with high damage-spikes orwhen you want to soften the damage that you take at critical times, so thatyour healers can focus on other raid members.

Burning Rush is extremely useful on fights where you need tomove quickly especially if there is no damage while you have to move. Unbound Will can be useful to remove harmful debuffs,movement-impairing effects, and all effects that cause you to lose controlof your character. Note that if you are a Human Warlock, then you already have Every Man for Himself , which does almost the same thing, just that it doesnot remove harmful debuffs. Blood Horror is not normally advised for raiding, although it may beuseful on fights where adds may attack you.

It is very strong for solo content. Currently, the talents are tuned in such a way that Grimoire of Supremacy and Grimoire of Service are currentlyperforming very similarly and are the best choices for Demonology Warlocks. We advise you to go for Grimoire of Service because it benefits morefrom you stacking your cooldowns.

Archimonde's Darkness is the default choice for low movement encounters. Kil'jaeden's Cunning should be used in encounters with heavy movement, while Mannoroth's Fury shouldbe used when heavy AoE damage is required. Note that with Patch 5.
