Should i teach dewott revenge

Tread lightly. Again, have Samurott hold the Mystic Water. Samurott versus Caitlin: Fighting Caitlin with Samurott may seem like a good idea at first glance due to Megahorn , but it is very risky. A Ghost-type is recommended here. However, surviving an onslaught of Thunderbolts, perhaps boosted by a Calm Mind, is not something Samurott can survive.

Both Sawk and Conkeldurr carry Grass Knot. However, these moves should not be feared. Grass Knot comes off of their terrible Special Attack stat, meaning that Samurott can tank more than a few.

Note: Do not forget that you can leave the Elite 4 and train your team before fighting N and Ghetsis. This is recommended for those that entered the Elite 4 with their team below level This will likely make N heal stall, so spam Grass Knot. Vanniluxe is likely faster than Samurott and will almost certainly set up Hail first turn.

This matchup should be left to something that can either outspeed or tank more than two hits. If you see Klinklang, note that it is likely a Zoroark. Treat it with caution. However, it can hit Samurott with Toxic. Fortunately, Cofagrigus lacks Hex and will almost always use Protect after its opponent is poisoned.

Bouffalant and Eelektross cannot be fought by Samurott; they are both packing Wild Charge. Seismitoad will likely be slower than Samurott until it uses Rain Dance. It will almost certainly outspeed everything in your team once Rain Dance is up due to Swift Swin.

The aforementioned rain also gives Samurott ridiculous power with Mystic Water-boosted Surf. This is compounded by the fact that Hydreigon is faster and can 2HKO in return. Samurott will likely only get one chance to attack Hydreigon before being crippled or OHKOed with a critical hit. Be wary of stray Sigilyph and wild Maractus though.

Mid-Game Areas: Dewott can handle anything the Nimbasa City area throws at it be wary of the police officer on the route east of Nimbasa, who is packing a tough Herdier. The route past Driftveil should be avoided by Samurott due to the abundance of Grass-types and annoying Tranquill.

The route north of Mistralton should be avoided due to the abundance of Zebstrika. Water Routes: Samurott has a lot of trouble with the water routes west of Nuvema Town due to the abundance of Water Absorb Frillish, who can wall most variants of Samurott with ease.

Samurott can handle Routes 9 and 10; however, keep Samurott away from Grass- and Electric-types as always which only applies to Route Therefore, a good counter is required. A fast, powerful glass cannon works well with Samurott due to their ability to outspeed and OHKO these threats.

Samurott can also tank some hits for these glass cannons in return. For questions about this guide or for specific advice for your playthrough, send them a message on Reddit. Joking aside, we have the final starter, who, according to Chuggaaconaroy, was always picked last in gym class, Oshawott. Then Dewott and ultimately, Samurott.

Confusing as the evolution line is, this little otter does have somethings going for it. STAB move wise, it can only handle Clay, but thankfully, unlike Snivy, it's move"pool" is a little more "dive"rs, learning a fair selection of Bug and Fighting moves within its level up moveset alone.

It really is a boon to have TMs being multiple use in this Generation, because Samurott and its family can learn a lot of them.

From Scald to Blizzard, X-Scissor to Dragon Tail, the hardest thing to do for a Samurott is to decide a set, but we'll get to that in a bit. Thanks to Dewott's signature move as of the 5th generation , Razor Shell. This is the most reliable signature move of all the starters, with the potential to drop the opponent's Defense a stage. Ironically, you can fight Burgh's gym with Dewott's Fury Cutter on the Sewaddle line, but, just to be safe, reserve Dewott for the Dwebble's.

Clay is a joke, except for his Palpitoad, but unless you've seen Pokemon in the Dex before Skyla's gym and get lucky with a Hidden Power Rock, Electric or Ice, you will be switching to a Pokemon of these types during her gym Unless if you want Samurott just to plow through the gym. If you still have Revenge for your Samurott, use it on Brycen's Ice types, but you should have a decent team by this point in the game, and come on, Ice types are frail.

Since Dragon types and Ice Types are in short supply, this will be a good investment, since Ice Beam isn't until post-game. If ignorance is a bliss I know alot of happy people.

User Info: Xenozoa Needs more something-that's-not-Water. When you get Samurott, teach it Blizzard and Megahorn. I had Revenge, but chose to forget it for Aqua Jet.

I'm new to the real competition field. Xenozoa Like what exactly? Look, at this point you only have a few options. Soon you'll get surf, which is a good move to teach it, until then use razor shell or scald. You can use the TM Dig to give it a way to kill electrics, even if it's dangerous. In game this works. You can use a heart scale to relearn Revenge, it is the only fighting move it learns, and as it's slow it works well.

Once it evolves, you can relearn Megahorn too, which lets it deal with grass types. It can of course learn return for a powerful normal attack. Blizzard can be learned too, but it's pretty inaccurate and has low PP. This is only in the next town though. Again, you have no chance using this pokemon competitively.

You need to breed it the right nature, and train it in the right stats. Even then, Samurott isn't such a great pokemon competitively anyway.
